Cadillac Repair: onboard diagnostics button not working, cadillac vehicles, fuel gauge

hello i have a 2000 deville and my three buttons for the on board computer is not working when pressed also my gas bars was working fine until last night now it is always showing full gas i dont know how much gas is really in the tank please help.

Hi Cyril,

      I need to know what the buttons are supposed to do and where they are located. From your description I don't know what to tell you. The fact that the buttons stopped working at the same time as the fuel gauge means they could be related or just a coincidence. Cadillac vehicles have had problems with the fuel sender/card getting a bad spot on it and that causes the gauge to read incorrectly. There also have been computer reprograms that can take care of a problem such as this so a trip to your mechanic would be the best thing so he could check it out and find out whats wrong.

      Other that checking fuses and there are alot of them to check all over the car there really isn't anything else that you could do unless you had the manual or alldata on line shop manual. Bill
