Thank you very much. Spc. Dodson

Answer
Tony,
Generally speaking, the motor is "supposed to be" removed after removal of the entire window regulator assembly, then you separate the motor from the regulator. But, most pros do the motor swap right in the door. Pull the interior door panel and take a look at the window motor. You'll see the screws (or rivets) that anchor it to the regulator. Now, look carefully at the metal door shell in the area directly in front of the screws (where you'd envision having to have an access hole to get to the screws. You'll notice a little dimple in the metal. That's actually a mark showing where to cut the hole. Take a hole saw and pop a hole right there big enough to get a 1/4" drive socket the size of the screw head through (if yours is original, the rivets will need to be drilled out and replaced by screws on the new motor). As I recall, you need a 3/4" hole but measure to be sure. I'd have to check but on your car, the motor may have a small bracket that will also need to be drilled out but it's no big deal.
