hi i have a 93 cadillac seville sts with the northstar i need horns for my car i found some from a 99 sls i wanted to know if the wiring would plug together or even mount or if i hard wired them if they woudl work please get back thnx

Hi Mike,

     Some Caddys have 2 while others have 4 horns. On the side they have a letter that corresponds to the note or tone that it sounds. So if you only have 2 horns on the '93 make sure you replace them with the same note or you might not like the sound.

     That said I would suspect that you would have a problem with the horns mounting up and with the connectors because in '98 they changed the body style of the Seville and around that time connectors also changed. You could call the Caddy dealer parts department and ask if the horns were the same then you would know for sure. But maybe the brackets on the '99 can be bent close enough to match the '93 so they will bolt up. As far as the connectors if they aren't the same maybe you could get the connectors from the '99 with the horns otherwise just hard wire them like you thought about doing.

    Some other options would be to go to the autoparts store or dealer and buy replacement horns in the notes you need. You would most likely need to bend the mounting brackets because they usually come straight.
