Cadillac Repair: 1995 cadillac deville concours, cadillac deville concours, coolant level

Question
QUESTION: Thanks for your time. I have a couple of questions about a 1995 Cadillac deville concours that i just purchased. It has a climate control feature that resets itself. For example, I can turn the temp up to 90 degrees and the blower on high with the defrost off,  and for no apparent reason it will constantly reset itself to 75 degrees, auto blower and defrost. Very annoying, especially since its about ten degrees in Illinois this week. Also, I'm curious how expensive its going to be to fix the "ride control suspension", as that message keeps appearing on the dash and it feels like there is no suspension at all. I hope you can make sense of all this, and once again, thanks for your time and help.

ANSWER: IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated on the dash at anytime ?. If it has, perform this procedure:

1. Turn the ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^)(fan up) for 3 seconds and release them.

3. On the fuel data display you will see LETTERS & NUMBERS appear along with the word HISTORY or CURRENT with each code that displays. The display will stop at PCM?

4. Turn OFF ignition.

5. Tell me EXACTLY what displays in the EXACT order in which it displays as if you were video taping the display.

QUESTION: hey Again,
Here is exactly what it reads:
P026 HIS-P036 HIS-P052 HIS-P053 IS-P083 HIS-P109 HIS-P137 HIS- I032 CURRENT-1033 CURRENT-I037 HIS-I039 HIS-I052 HIS-NO SIR DATA-NO TCS DATA-S036 HIS-S038 CURRENT-S044 HIS-PCM?

Thats what is says exactly, even the question mark behind the PCM reading. I appreciate all of your help with this. Along with the heater issue, I'm getting service messages that say "SERVICE RIDE CONTROL", "TRACTION DISABLED", and "CHECK COOLANT LEVEL". I'm sure some of the codes may have something to do with those issues too.

Answer
What you need to do now is CLEAR (erase) the codes from the computer and see if any return.

NOTE: disconnecting the cars battery will NOT clear the codes. Search thru my PAST ANSWERS to others to find the procedure to clear the codes for your specific car.
