Cadillac Repair: GM Coolant Pellets, gm coolant, radiator hose

Question
Could you advise the proper procedure to add the GM coolant stop leak pellets?

The car is a 98 Deville with the 4.6 Northstar engine.

I have read that adding them to the coolant reservoir is incorrect.

thanks.

Answer
Ryan,
True, you don't want to simply dump them into the reservoir. They'll never make it to the engine. You should put them in the lower radiator hose prior to refilling the system. I've heard some people claim that crushing them is better but to my knowledge the OEM does NOT recommend that be done.
