Cadillac Repair: ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND COMPUTER, cadillac sts, computer control

I HAVE A 98 CADILLAC STS, I WAS TOLD THAT THE COMPUTER IS BAD AND I WOULD NEED TO REPLACE IT DUE TO 13 CODES POPPED UP WHEN A DIAGNOSTICS WAS DONE. DOES THE COMPUTER CONTROL THE RADIO AND THE LIGHTS THAT ARE ON THE DASH SUCH AS SECURITY,BATTERY,ABS,BRAKES,TRACTION CONTROL,AND AIRBAGS?

FIRST I need to know what codes you are getting and if EACH CODE is a HISTORY or CURRENT code. Then when I know what codes you have we will then CLEAR (erase) ALL the codes from the computer and see which codes return.

NOTE: disconnecting the battery will NOT erase the codes.
