Cadillac Repair: 1996 STS Cruise and wipers, unrelated systems, wiper switch

Hi Kevin,
I have a 96 STS.  My cruise control and wiper delay doesn't work.  My wipers work only on hi and low.  I bought the car in this condition if that helps.  I had the very same problem on a chevy I used to own.  These two systems were tied in together with some kind of switch.  So basically I need to know what the name of that switch is so I can order one and also where on this car it is located so I can replace it.

First place to look for inoperative wiper delay is the timing board located under the motor cover.
As far as the two unrelated systems both having something in common, you're probably referring to the multi-function switch on the turn signal lever. Unfortunately, they are two separate switches, one located in the lever itself, and the other on the side of the column. The wiper switch is actually what the lever mounts into.
