Cadillac Repair: 1999 DeVille License Plate Light, plastic nuts, trunk pull down

Light is burnt out and I need to replace it, but short of
tearing up the chrome and back-up lights, I don't know how to get to it.

Hi Jon,

      I don't have a manual for your car at home and I haven't had to replace any bulbs like that on your model. About the only things I can suggest are to remove the license plate and see if there are any screws behind it that can be removed to get the panel off. Otherwise open the trunk and remove the cover where the trunk pull-down motor/latch is and there might be some plastic nuts that can be removed and then the panel will come off so the bulb can be replaced.
