Cadillac Repair: 1995 Deville, electrical trouble, programming sequence

Question
I just bought a 1995 Deville Sedan and I encounter the following problems.

1. If the lights are left on, with the key removed from the starter and the driver's door is open the reminding chime does not sound.

2. The Sentinel light does not work The lights do not go on automatically.

3. The electronic right back door lock switch does not work to unlock. It does lock the door though.

4. I only have 1 keyless entry remote control (Part #10178734) and I would like to get a second one. I found out that there is a second part # (10269729). In order to have 2 remote controls both parts are needed or I can get the second remote with the same part # as the one I already own (1017834). If both remotes have the same part number they both can be programmed to work?

Answer
Kal,
Nice list! ;)
1. First thing I'd do is check all fuses, then I'd ask; do the interior lights come on when you open the door?
2. The sentinel switch might be bad or the maybe the sensor. Do you think that you are up to doing some electrical trouble-shooting?
3. Does that door unlock via the master switch? If so, I'd check into the R/R lock switch and wiring.
4. I'm pretty sure that on your car, there is a primary and secondary remote, and they function differently. Call your dealer to verify. If you need we can walk through the programming sequence. Let me know with a follow-up.

Kal,
1. Do you have ANY chimes? The headlamp reminder is simply a  circuit from the headlight switch to the chime module, so If you have no chimes at all, troubleshoot the chime module first. If the headlamp reminder is the only chime not present, then check the circuit to the module or the module itself.
2. Do you have DRL?
