Cadillac Repair: 94SLS Seville Codes,clutch failure, word history, climate control

I have a 94 SLS it runs good but the check engine light will always come on when I drive it normal in D. But if I really get on the throttle in 3 and manually shift it into D it seems to stay out until I slow down below 50mph then speed back up. The code it throws up is PO39 and SO71 "transmission clutch failure" and "Accelerometer failure" I'm not sure whether it is a shift cylinoid, convertor lock up cylinoid or if one is related to the other.Any suggestions would be appreciated

When these 2 codes display, with each code should be the word HISTORY or CURRENT. Which do you have ?. If they are both HISTORY then you FIRST need to CLEAR (erase) both codes from the computers via the climate control panel and then see which codes return and if they are HISTORY or CURRENT.

NOTE: disconnecting the battery will NOT CLEAR the codes.
