Cadillac Repair: 87 seville wont start, blackish color, fuel pressure

Question
4.1L  fuel pump has been replaced within the past year has had a resent tuneup. has spark and is getting fuel! was running fine when driving then just died and now won't start? any help would be appreciated. thank you

Answer
Check the spark plugs to see if they are gas fouled after trying to start the vehicle several times. Also check to see if the bottom end of the spark plugs have a blackish color.

Check your fuel pressure as new pumps can go bad. See if it will try and start using starting fluid.

Is it possible that this problem came about after you filled the car with gas and possibly got a large quantity of water from the gas stations pump mixed with the gas ?.
