Cadillac Repair: 1999 Cadillac Escalade, throttle positioning sensor, intermittent fault

Question
1999 Cadillac Escalade (118,000 miles)  I am having an issue with hesitation when pushing the gas pedal.  When I take this in for repair it seems it does not happen to whomever is attempting to repair.  Anyone ever hear of this problem?  The first time is happened the service engine light went on and they said two pistons were misfiring and they cleaned.  That only took care of the problem for a day.  Thank you!

Answer
Is or has the check engine light ever illuminated while driving the vehicle and if so, What CODES did your mechanic get from the computer ?.

Possible faults:

1. Intermittent fault in throttle positioning sensor.

2. Blackish residue buildup on and around the throttle plate area which needs to be cleaned off. Very common problem.

3. Faulty fuel injectors. Replace them and have others cleaned and tested.
