Cadillac Repair: 1994 Cadillac Seville, cadillac seville, abs brakes

Question
what does traction disabled mean for a 1994 cadillac seville?

Answer
Hi Barbara,

Traction control disabled means that the tires will spin if you accelerate too hard on ice, snow, water etc. Otherwise when the traction control is enabled the ABS brakes will activate or the fuel injectors will turn off the fuel to the engine to try and keep the tires from spinning. There should be a switch that will disable traction control and it might be in the off position. That could be why you see that message. I'm not sure where it is on your car...looking in the owners manual should show you.

Hope that answers your question. Bill
