Cadillac Repair: 91 cad fltwd brougham engines, fuel mileage, brougham

I've come across a 91 with the chev 5.0 Ltr eng used as the standard.Is this true?? The option eng being the 5.7Ltr.
Is the 5.0(305ci)a good choice or will it work too hard and fuel mileage will suffer??

Yes, the L03 (305ci) was used for two years ('91-'92) in the RWD Brougham. Is it stressed? I don't think so. The 350 is basically just a bored-out 305, so although the 350 does have more power, the 305 is just as durable. My PERSONAL choice would be the 350 but that's just because I like the most power available in any application. ;)
I think the 305 will give you a slight edge in fuel mileage too.
