Cadillac Repair: Drain on battery, 1992 cadillac brougham, cadillac brougham

Question
I have a 1992 Cadillac Brougham (5.0 litre).  Battery has a drain (battery checked but not the problem). When cold, I hear a clicking sound which seems to be coming from the left side of the dash and, if I'm lucky, after 2-3 seconds of this, the engine will start.  Once, when the car wouldn't start because the battery was drained, I heard what I thought was a small motor continually running from somewhere behind the right side of the dash.  A while ago, the power antenna motor continued to run even after the engine was shut off, and the power antenna wouldn't retract so I disconnected the cable from the radio to the antenna motor (thick cable similar in size to co-axial cable).

Any ideas on this?

Thanks.

Murray.

Answer
You need to disconnect the antenna power wires at the antenna.

What you disconnected was the antenna lead which has nothing to do with the electric motor which is your problem.
