QUESTION: So do I take off the steering wheel and then a section of the steering Column?

Answer
First you have to deactivate the AIR BAG system BEFORE you remove the air bag from the steering wheel. Then you use a special puller to remove the steering wheel, Then a special tool to remove the black metal lock plate that has an "O" ring holding it on as it is under pressure which is why you need the special tool to remove it. Then you partially remove the turn signal switch assembly and then the steering wheel lock assembly.
