Cadillac Repair: 76 Deville, electric fuel pumps, fuel pump

Determined that I am not getting fuel from the tank.  Replaced mechanical fuel pump and filter, but still no fuel.  Does the 76 Deville with a carb have the 2 electric fuel pumps?  Or are they only on the fuel injected model?

Remove the suction line at the fuel pump that goes to the fuel tank and put your thumb on the fitting where you removed the hose from and have someone crank the engine. If you do NOT feel any vacuum on your finger, you missed the arm of the fuel pump alignment with the camshaft lobe. Remove the fuel pump and as you install it you should feel some pressure on the pump as you try and bolt it to the engine OR you have a faulty pump.
