Cadillac Repair: E30 very rough idle & popping 1987 fleetwood delegance, egr valve, computer answer

Question
QUESTION: do you have any info on how to get the isc and tps back in sync

do you have any info how to check if the isc, tps, and egr are good/working or bad/not working parts

I have a very rough idle and a popping noise coming up thru the throttlebody of my 1987 fleetwood d'elegance after reinstalling the egr valve(tried to clean it), and reinstalling tps(took off to get to egr)
I am getting an E30 OBD code

prior to this i had a very slight rough idle had new
plugs, wire, distributor cap and rotor replaced
none of that made any improvement to the idle after the egr and tps reinstall it is worse than ever
very irratic rough idlw and a popping coming up thru the throttle body

do you have any info on how to get more than just the E codes

do you have any suggestions for me as to what to do to findout what is wrong so I can fix it

ANSWER: Peform a compression test to make sure that you have not burned a valve.

QUESTION: I had a compression test done a few days ago. He said  it is not a burned valve. he also said he set the rpm to 450. and re-installed the tps. (did not know how to calibrate it so that was not done)

After the above was done the popping on the most part has disappeared.
The car runs but seems to be not running very smooth.

how can i check to determine if the isc, tps, or egr parts went bad.

how can i  get more than just the E codes out of the computer

ANSWER: CLEAR (erase) ALL the codes from the computer and see which ones return as E or EE codes.

QUESTION: all I know is

to clear them off hi

what other info can you get and how do you do it

also you suggested cleaning the throttle plate where is it and what should i clean it with

sorry i seemed to have lost your last email so i am responding from here

Answer
if the isc, tps, or egr parts went bad you would have a fault code from the computer. You do know how to check for codes via the OFF and WARMER buttons ?.

The rough idle could be caused by carbon buildup on the throttle plate and surrounding area. Remove the frsh air intake hoses so you can see the throttle plate and if it has a blackish residue on it, Clean all the residue from everywhere you see it.
