Cadillac Repair: 1989 fleetweed (fwd) Bose gold series, check fuse, electrical schematics

My stereo made horrible noises and finally died.  Before it totally died, I would turn it on and it wouldn't kick in for several minutes. I bought an identical replacement and hooked it up and it doesn't work at all.  Any ideas what to check next? Thanks!

Check fuse # 11 and fuse # 4 in the fuse box.

Check for 16 volts on the ORANGE/BLACK wire at the back of the radio.

Check the ORANGE wire for battery voltage at the back of the radio.

Check fuse # 1 in the relay center.

Check the amplifier relay in the relay center.
