Seat will go down and forward but not up or back, is this switch related or motor?

Hi Sean,

     Because of the age of the car I would say it is probably switch related. 2 quick things to try. First push alittle harder on the switch in those positions and see it it moves. If it does replace the switch. Swap the switch from the RF seat and see if all the positions operate.

     If still no movement you will need to take a 12 volt test light and remove the seat motor connector that doesn't work and see if power and ground is available at the motor connector when the switch is pushed. Maybe you have an open wire.

     If you have gotten to this point then the motor assembly or cables need to be looked at to see for sure whats broken.
