Cadillac Repair: Needs brake pad indicator, cadillac seville sts, 1999 cadillac seville sts

The brakes on my 1999 Cadillac seville sts were replaced,but the information center still says replace brake pads,,
how do i reset the information,,
also if i change my own oil,,will i have to reset the information center again

Let's check your computer for fault CODES.

1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the ON/OFF and info ^ (info/up) buttons on the diagnostic information center for 3 seconds and release them.

3. When you see the word CODES press and release the ON/OFF button.

4. CODES will appaer in the form of LETTERS and NUMBER combinations along with the word CURRENT or HISTORY with each code that displays.

5. write down EVERYTHING you see on the display screen EXACTLY as it appears along with HISTORYY or CURRENT with each code displayed.

6. Turn OFF ignition.
