QUESTION: Using the OBD. Went to ECM clear codes. Held "Hi" for about 5 seconds. Got a message codes cleared, but service engine soon light comes back on in about 10 seconds with same E041 code current
AnswerOK, Lets try and clear it via the climate control panel:
1. Take scanner OFF.
2. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.
3. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on the climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.
4. The diagnostic code E041 will be shown and then you will see ECM?
5. Push and release the HI button and you will see ECM DATA?
6. Keep pushing and releasing the LO button until you see ECM CLEAR CODES.
7. Push and release the HI button and you will see ECM CODES CLEAR.
8. Push and release the RESET button on the diagnostic information panel (DIC).
9. Turn ignition OFF.
