Cadillac Repair: 1991 Cadi Fleetwood Brougham A/C, vacuum line, plastic vacuum

Question
I just got this car, the air blows but i have 2 problems: first is the air only comes out the defroster, where can i look for a vacuum leak to resolve this, second, i need to add refrigerant to the car, it was converted to r134, which valve is the side to connect to, i valve looks like it has an extension added to it, the one closest to the radiator, the second one further up towards the firewall has a red cap on it...do not sure which is right side to connect to.

Answer
Locate the thin black plastic vacuum line that goes from the engine compartment thru the firewall and into under the dash on the passengers side at the AC/Heater programmer.

NOTE: this black plastic vacuum line may be mixed into the wiring harness that goes thru the firewall.

Remove the multi-vacuum line connector at the programmer and check for vacuum with the engine running.

The LOW side port for adding freon is near the firewall.
