Cadillac Repair: Fan or Blower, cadillac seville sts, cadillac seville

Question
Recently, I encountered a problem with my A/C not working in my 1997 Cadillac Seville STS.  Before taking it to a repair shop, I decided to check the fuses and compressor relay.  I pulled them out and checked them.  Both the fuses and the relay seemed okay.  A day later when I attempted to start the car, I noticed the battery did not have a charge.  After having the battery checked and charged, it was reinstalled into the car.  After connecting the battery cables I noticed a sound similar to when the blower or fan begins to come on.  It starts and then stops.  This is repeated every ten seconds.  This occurs even though the car is not started nor is the key in the ignition switch.  I surmised that this was the cause of the battery losing its charge.  Again, seemingly something is triggering a blower or fan to attempt to come on despite the car being parked and the ignition off.  The sound comes from the the passenger side of the car near the dash.  What could be causing the blower or fan or whatever to attempt to run despite the car sitting idle and the ignition switch off?

Answer
Replace the blower motor that is inserted into the big black plastic housing on the passengers side of the engine compartment and replace the POWER MODULE which is located above the blower motor about 5" to the left of the blower motor and is inserted in the top of the big plastic housing.
