Cadillac Repair: 96 eldorado climate control, obd2 scanner, hood latch

Question
QUESTION: I recently replaced the radiator. After doing so the climate control appears normal on the display, but the blower is not functioning nor is the compressor engaging. I can hear the doors opening and closing as I run through the settings. What should I be checking?

ANSWER: Is your OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE reading accurate ?. If NOT, You may have knocked the wire loose from the sensor that is mounter just behind the front grill towards the passengers side of the hood latch.

Check your computer for CODES via:

1. Ignition switch ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. CODES will show up in the form of LETTERS and NUMBERS such as P113 or any other LETTER NUMBER combination displayed on the fuel display.

4. After each CODE appears you will see HISTORY (H) or CURRENT (C) being displayed as EACH CODE DISPLAYS.

5. The codes will stop when you see PCM?

6. Write down the information EXACTLY as it displays as if you were video taping it and let me know what you get.

7. Turn OFF ignition.

QUESTION: Thanks
The outside temp reading is accurate. I do not have a "warmer" button except on the steering wheel. The temp is set by the dial on the control. I do have an OBD2 scanner but I am reading no codes.
Thanks again.

Answer
Great, No codes. Will your scanner display (F0) data and (F1) data lists in order to override the blower controls ?. Or is it just a code reader ?.

Recheck your work area around the radiator and see if there are any loose wires or ground wires loose or loose connections anywhere where you worked at.

If you find nothing, You will have to e-mail me at: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order for me to provide you with test procedures to test the compressor and the interior blower for the AC/Heat system.
