Cadillac Repair: My blinkers wont work on my 96 Deville Sadan, cadillac sedan deville, turn signals

QUESTION: How would I fix that?... when I turn them on they are solid and don't blink.

ANSWER: Hi Monique,

      What I do is turn on the hazard lights. If all the bulbs blink then I turn them off and try both turn signals. If any bulbs fail to light on hazard mode then replace them.

      When the turn signals lights are used if both lights on the dash light up and don't blink then the flasher is bad and needs to be replaced. If only 1 side doesn't blink or blinks faster than the other side then look for a bulb that is burned out/not lit on that side.

Hi Monique,

      The flasher is located under the dash right next to and below the steering column. It will be a black rectangular plastic box with the wire connector on the end. You will need to remove the plastic panel below the column and possably the metal panel also. Once you have the new flasher module in your hand hopefully the new one won't be too hard to spot. Bill
