Cadillac Repair: COIL PACKS, cadillac sls, spark plug wire

MY 1007 CADILLAC SLS IS PUTTERING UP TO 40 MPH AND WORSE WHEN AIR IS ON. I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT MAY BE MY COIL PACK. HOW CAN YOU TELL IF YOUR COIL PACKS ARE GOING BAD?

With the engine running check every spark plug wire to mmkae sure it is getting spark to the spark plug. If you pull a spark plug wire OFF the spark plug and the engine speed does not DECREASE this means that in most cases there is no spark to that particular spark plug.
