Cadillac Repair: No start, no spark, pass ket, starter relay

Question
QUESTION: My '92 DeVille refused to crank.  I replaced the starter only to discover that there was no spark.  I then replaced the electronics that are part of the ignition switch.  Still no joy.  The diagrams I've seen seem to indicate that there is a starter relay in the circuitry as well as the neutral start switch.  Since there's no spark, I'm assuming now that the problem is the neutral start switch.  Think so?  Where is it located on the 4.9L V8?  Some say on the transmission; others say remotely somewhere.

ANSWER: The starter will engage and turn the engine but you are not getting any spark to the spark plugs, CORRECT?

QUESTION: No, it will not crank, but it will do so when I jump the solenoid.

Answer
Do you have the key with the little CHIP on the key called the PASS-KEY system ?.

Most likely you do. Are you getting any messages on your drivers information center about NO START or THEFT SYSTEM ?.

There is a relay between the neutral starter safety switch and the starter and your problem is either with the pass-ket system or the neutral starter safety switch.
