Cadillac Repair: key wont come out of on position, negative battery cable, hi matthew

hi my car was overheating now its parked but i cant get the key to come out of the ignition. its stuck in the on position draining battery, please help

Hi Matthew,

        Since I don't know what kind of vehicle you have the only thing I could suggest is to remove the negative battery cable. Let me know what year, make and model vehicle you have and I can get back to you. If you don't see the battery in the engine compartment it could be under the rear seat cushion that you sit on. Give a tug up on both sides and it should come up. Hope that helps. Bill
