Cadillac Repair: 1991 Eldo, ccr code, ac delco

Question
QUESTION: I just purchased a 1991 Biarritz and on the drive home, everytime I took my foot off the gas pedal it stalled.
It will not stay running unless I am giving it gas.  I ran the codes and came up with a E026.  My mechanic is also stumped!  this vehicle only has 39,000 original miles.  Also, the CCR is always on the Info center.  How do I clear that code
THANK YOU
Bob

ANSWER: E026 = Shorted throttle switch on the IDLE SPEED CONTROL MOTOR.

CCR = Computer Command Ride.

To clear the code:

1. Re-enetr diagnostics and when you see ECM?

2. Push and release the HI button and you will see ECM DATA?

3. Keep pushing and releasing the LO button until you see ECM CLEAR CODES?

4. Push and release the HI button and you will see ECM CODES CLEAR.

5. Wait 3 seconds and turn OFF the ignition switch.

6. Drive the car and see what codes re-appear and if the codes are "E" or "EE" codes.

7. Have your mechanic clean both sides of the throttle plate area and inside the throttle bore to remove any residue buildup.

QUESTION: THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!  I purchased a AC/Delco Idle speed control motor and had my mechanic put the new part on and gave him your reply. So, he cleaned the throttle plate and throttle body also.  We still do not know how to clear the "CCR" code.  He checked the computer in the trunk and tried to clear it with his device. But every time you start the car, "service CCR" comes on the information center.  You can press any button to clear it off the information center and it will stay off until you restart the vehicle again.  Any thoughts!
AGAIN  THANK YOU !!!!
Bob

Answer
Did he read the codes when he hooked up his device. If NOT, I can provide PICTURES and instructions on how to read the codes and then he can tell me what code appaers and I can e-mail you the diagnostic chart to fix it.
