QUESTION: checked fuel pressure 30 pounds and cleaned throttle body for no flare up a initial start. after cleaning returned to normal flare up. runs a little smoother but still stalls. no codes. maint. bill stating to mount.  any more ideas thanks?
ANSWER: Start the engine and go in the engine compartment and manually open the throttle linkage to keep the engine running and slowly increase the engine speed up to about 1500 rpm's and then slowly back down the engine speed and watch the IDLE SPEED CONTROL MOTOR that has the threaded metal rod sticking out the front of the motor to see if it slowly extends to contact the idle linkage at which time the metal rod will slowly retract within the IDLE SPEED CONTROL MOTOR and will ALWAYS be in contact with the throttle linkage.

QUESTION: took car to daves cadillac says he changed egr valve and still stalls what do you recommend next. still no codes.

Answer
If you start the engine and physically look at the throttle linkage is the metal threaded screw on the idle speed control motor touching the throttle linkage. If you manually open the throttle at the throttle linkage about an inch and SLOWLY let the throttle linkage return to the idle position, Dose the threaded rod on the idle speed control motor extend out towards the throttle linkage ?.

If NOT, Replace the idle speed control motor and you will need pictures and specific instructions on how to adjust the idle speed control motor.
