Cadillac Repair: 97 cadillac transmission, dipstick tube, metal bolt

I can't find the dip stick to check my transmission fluid.  Is there one and if so - where, or is it a sealed transmission.  I have a fresh oil change and filter. But my car feels like it is missing and has trouble accelerating. Plugs/air filter/fuel line/trany fluid - don't know where to begin.

The trans no longer utilizes a dipstick. There is a metal bolt similar to the oil pan drain just above the trans pan where the dipstick tube used to insert in the trans.

As to driveability, Has or is the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated on the dash and if so, What are the CODES.
