Cadillac Repair: Low oil pressure warning light, oil pressure switch, low oil pressure

Question
My mom has a 1996 Cadillac deville, 4.6 northstar. She had the oil changed recently and now she is getting "low oil pressure stop engine message" The oil level is good and the right filter was used. Is there a way to trouble shoot what the problem is and if it's really low oil pressure or just a bad sensor. She is on a fixed income so I'm trying to make sure of the problem before she spends allot of money.

Thanks

Answer
Since an oil pressure switch is fairly cheap and easily installed, I would suggest that you replace it

I can provide a PICTURE location of the oil pressure switch for you to replace it. you can purchase one at ANY auto parts store.

They will ask you if you have a light that turns RED when you turn On the ignition switch without starting the car OR if you have a guage that you can look at.
