Cadillac Repair: Car Doesnt move, cadillac seville, axles

HI, i have a 90 cadillac seville and i was driving down the freeway. When i tried to accelerate it it didn't do it so i had to pull over. I tried to switch between P to D and the car doesn't move, it turns on and accelerates but it doesn't move at all.

jack the vehicle up in the front and see if one of the front tires turns as you accelerate. Block the front tire that was moving and see if the other front tire turns as you accelerate.

You may have a busted axle and or one of the axles popped out of the transmission and needs to be forced back in. See if you can easily slide either axle at the transmission outward toward the tire, If you can the axle is loose.
