Cadillac Repair: Blower Relay, gas gauge, cadillac deville

Question
I ask a question about a problem with a 77 Cadillac Deville, that I was working onawhile back. The problem was that I have to put the blower fan control on defrost for a few minutes to get the gas gauge and other insturments to work. After a few minutes everthing is fine. You told me to look for a wire connector that was close to the fire wall on right side of car. The only wires that I have found are some wires that go to some part of what looks like the a/c close to the fan motor houseing. There are the wires that come through the fire wall that go to the right side of the car that are in a wire proctor but I see no connector any place I know that I am missing something, and I know it is hared to tell someone what to look for, but I hope you can help me. Thank You A Lot

Answer
Look on the right head just below the front spark plug and there should be a recessed hole with a green wire attached to a heater turn ON switch. Disconnect this wire and ground it to any metal surface and see if your blower now works.

If it is NOT in that location. Look on the opposite head back close to the firewall on the engine for a single green wire and do the same and see if the blower runs.
