Cadillac Repair: 91 deville wont start, battery cables, purple wire

turn key and wont start.. doesnt crank or anything..

Security light stays lit up when the key is on..

there is no power to the purple wire on the starter

if i touch a screwdriver from the purple wire to the hot wire on the starter it will try to start

have had ignition replaced, battery replaced, battery cables replaced, messed with nuetral safety switch..

i cant afford to take it to the dealership I dont have any money or any way to get the car anywhere..

is there anything i can do?

Your fault is most likely in the pass-key system or theft system.

Check for computer codes via:

1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on the climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. Diagnostic codes in the form of LETTERS/NUMBERS will appear with either HISTORY or CURRENT appaering along with each code.

4. Once all the codes stop, Let me know EXACTLY what displays in the EXACT order in which it displays as if you were video-taping it. If you can video-tape it, E-mail it to me at: onlineautohelp@msn.com
