Cadillac Repair: Doesnt Start!!!, cadillac seville, ac system

Question
I have a 97' Cadillac Seville STS. Last Friday, I couldn't start an engine at all. I thought it was a battery problem. I tried to start my car with a junmper cable, but it didn't work. Next day, I took out a battery from my car and went to O'Reilly to see what's wrong with my battery. They charged a battery and told me that a battery was fine. I came home and put it back. After a while, my friend found that even when nobody starts an engine, fan(AC) was running. Overnight it was running and wasting a battery. To make sure, I brought my car to a mechanic(I could drive my car because I fully charged a battery and disconnected a cable that is used for AC system). A mechanic pointed out the same thing that my friend found(fan). He told me that it costs about $800(new part + labor fee). I thought it wasn't worth fixing so I just came home. I thought I could do without AC system. If i want to use AC, I just need to plug that cable into AC system(it is okay unless I keep driving, but I need to disconnect it when I park my car, otherwise the fan keeps running). Two days later, on Tuesday, I tried to start an engine...it didn't start!!! I thought I forgot to disconnect the cable on Saturday, but when I popped the hood, it was disconnected. What it is wrong with my car? I can't even close my trunk and doors in the back seats because everything runs automatically! What I'm trying to do now is just buying a new battery and see it solves a problem. But, if even a new battery doesn't work, I don't even know what to do. Please help me and my car!

Answer
In MOST cases the fault is the blower motor itself.

However, The fault could be the AC/Heater programmer (ACM).

A NEW battery would also be a good idea if yours is the original or over 5 years old.
