Cadillac Repair: hello, number combinations, oil life

QUESTION: Hi, i was hoping you could supply some great advise. I have a 96 sedan deville 4.6L with 117k miles on it. the service ride control light comes on and stays on while in prk. and dr. however there doesnt seem to be any problems as far as the ride goes, its perfect nice and smooth. what do you think is going on? also i have another question. my oil life says 84% when i fire it up, but when i'm driving it says check oil level. if the oil life is at 84% isnt that ok, why would it say check oil level? thanks
ANSWER: The check oil sensor located on the side of the oil pan either is faulty and or a shorted wire.

Do you have any computer codes ?.

1. Ignition ON.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER^ buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them and tell me EXACTLY as if you were video taping them what LETTER and NUMBER combinations appear and if each code is HISTORY or CURRENT.

3. Turn ignition OFF>
