Cadillac Repair: oil pressure check from the car, pressure gage, diagnostic mode

I had the oil pressure light come on and had the pressure checked. It was tested then to be fine so caddy replaced the oile pressure sensor. Then they ran a pressure test and said 5lbs only. I basically want to know HOW CAN I CHECK THE OIL PRESSURE IN THE CAR IN DIAGNOSTIC MODE?


Answer
If you only had 5 lbs of pressure the oil light and all sorts of warning devices would be going off and the engine would be making all sorts of noises.

Use another pressure gage that you know is reliable.

There is no way to do it via the on-board system .
