Cadillac Repair: Re-setting cadillac sensors, fleetwood brougham, climate control

there was a response for this 5/3/2004 on cadillac sensors...i tried following the procedure and got it to display all the codes but it didn't display PCM..and pushing hi fan wouldn't display PCM and wouldn't reset by pushing lo fan...mine is a 1992 fleetwood brougham 5.7...is the procedure different? put new battery in months ago and speedometer and fan sw hi/lo hassn't worked since..gas guage works fine..fan works aok when direct hookup to 12v but not from climate control panel..what am i doing wrong in trying to reset sensors?..thanks..ur website info is just awesome!

1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold th OFF and Warmer button on the climate control panel for 3 seconds and then release them.

3. PCM (E codes) will appear if any followed by BCM (F codes if any and then will stop at .7.0

4. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and HI buttons until E.00 appears and release them. This will clear the PCM codes.

5. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and LO buttons until F.00 appears and release them. This will clear the BCM codes.

6. turn OFF ignition.
