Cadillac Repair: Problem, throttle position sensor, climate control

Dear repair god i have an 1994 cadillac sevillie and the problem i'm having wit it is that when i try and give gas 2 go it will cut off i was told that it was an map sensor is this true and if not what do u think it is.  

Answer
Could be:

map sensor.
low fuel pressure.
throttle position sensor.


Perform this test.


1. Ignition switch ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. Write down every letter and number that appears EXACTLY as it appears and let me know what they are as if you were video taping them.

4. Turn ignition switch off when letters and numbers STOP.
