Cadillac Repair: 1999 Deville trunk & gas cap release, fuse block, fuse box

My trunk release and gas cap release stopped working, but the door locks still work. When I looked in the owners manual, it stated that the fuse for all of those functions was the same in the "CONVENC" slot in the rear fuse box. Why would some of the functions work and not others?

Different wires go to different devices, there could be a short of some sort going to the malfunctioning devices, or a bad ground connection(something with the connection of the devices) And make sure the owners manual fuse block pertains to your exact model and not a submodel.
