93 CADDY SEVILLE 4.9 NO HEAT ,ROD IS NOT MOVING ENG TEMP IS 235 AND FANS ARE RUNNING.FLUIDS FULL.UPPER RAD HOSE HOT LOWER COOL HEATER HOSES COLD.HAVE REPLACED HEATER CORE FOR LEAK AND THERM.HAD NO HEAT BEFORE

Did you MARK the rod where it snaps into the plastic clip on the retainer BEFORE you disassembled it ?. Did you put it back in the IDENTICAL spot ?.
