Cadillac Repair: 1998 cadillac catera possible electical prob., cadillac catera, leak check

hi. i recently purchased a 98 catera in great shape, and the other day i had to make a long interstate trip in the rain. it seemed like when i pushed the gas the car sputtered and stalled, but let off and it coasted fine. well i drove it today, when it was dry out, and it drove like the day i bought it. is this a water leak/ shortage problem? thanks for any help

What might have happened is the water created a short in the ignition system and one of the cylinders wasnt getting a spark. The other possibility which i think is greater is you might have a intake manifold leak, check where the air filter is and make sure none of the tubing is missing or there are any holes, then check the throttle body and make sure there are no cracks. Let me know if everything looks ok.
