Cadillac Repair: 96 CAD DEVILLE, BLOWER MOTOR, c programmer, ground signal

Question
MY BLOWER MOTOR QUIT WORKING THIS FALL.  I HAD A WATER PUMP REPLACED AND SOON AFTERWARD THE FAN WOULD NOT COME ON.  I SWITCHED FROM AUTO TO ECON, RAISED THE TEMP, ETC. BUT IT WOULD NOT COME ON.  I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY, HOPING IT WOULD RESET THE BLOWER MOTOR (LIKE A COMPUTER) BUT NO LUCK.  IF IT IS A FUSE, WHERE IS THE FUSE LOCATED FOR THE BLOWER?  ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD TRY?

Answer
The fuse is in the trunk on the left side panel, when the water pump was replaced they may have messed with the heater core, there is an a/c programmer and if its not set correctly the fan would never receive a signal to be turned on, i have a 1990 deville and the blower motor is right in the middle of the lower dash assembly, its easy to remove and you can check the functionality of the blower motor by hooking up a power and ground signal to it, make sure its to the correct leads or youll blow the motor and then its definately broken. You can also take it back to the shop that did your water pump, explain that after they replaced it your blower motor froze up, and if they aren't p***ks they will repair this free of charge.

The fuse is located in the trunk, or under the front dash on the passenger side and/or driver side.
