Cadillac Repair: car stalls making right turn only, car stalls, full tank

He has done all of that ..but now I am getting fed up with the darn car as well. Thanks for all your help.

I don';t think it would be the gas tank bc he has also tryed starting the car while the wheel is turned to the right and it won't turn on. But the when it is to the left or straight wheeled it goes on. He stated that it made some kind of noise when he made a full u-turn to the left one time then started cutting off on right turns since then. I appreciate your help.

My son has a 84 Caddilac Coupe Deville.. he just got it like a month ago and recently it starting stalling making right turns only. What could it be?

Does it still do it with a full tank of gas ?. If NOT, You most likely have a leak at the fuel pump in the fuel tank.

Will it do the same thing if setting still while in drive and turning the wheel to the extreme right ?.

What does it do if he puts his left foot on the brake with the car in drive and increases the engine rpm's a little with his right foot and turns the wheel to the extreme right ?.

Since you did not answer my last question, I can't provide you with anymore suggestions that I have run across.

Could be:

Low idle speed.

Idle speed control motor not advancing the engine speed under load.

A faulty power steering switch that senses the turn in the power steering system and advances the rpm's via the idle speed control motor.


Are you getting any CHECK ENGINE light when driving the vehicle or has it illuminated in the past ?.

have you checked the computer for CODES ?.
