-----Question-----
I just bought my 2000 Catera and 2 days later its in the shop. it dies at night, there seems to be something draining all the power.. and also now all the sudden none of my door locks work. the remote doesnt work for them but it does for the trunk and fuel door. the inside power locks dont work. and i cant unlock the back doors due to the child safety feature. what is causing my problems? i have done lots of reading and found that in most opinions this car is "junk" and will cost me alot of money to own cause of all the problems. should i just put it up for sale and move on?

That would be my suggestion.

Answer
There could be a hundred things that are draining your battery. You will have to have someone put an AMP METER between the battery and the battery cable to see how many amps that the battery is drawing and if it is over #/4 of an amp you will have to start pulling fuses until you get to the fuse that is causing the battery drain and then test all the circuits and components that operate on that fuse for your problem.

The power door locks will require the use of a SCANNER to see what the problem is.
