Cadillac Repair: Codes E44 and E52, air fuel ratio, vacuum leak

Hi, I have a 1993 cadillac Deville and I got the code E44. I asked someone and they said it was the Oxygen sensor code. How do I know which O2 sensor it is? It says the car has two O2 sensors the front and rear one.

Answer
The vehicle only has 1 oxygen sensor. The code is telling you that the exhaust system is seeing a lean air/fuel ratio mixture in the exhaust. It does NOT necessarily mean that the oxygen sensor is faulty.

The code could be caused by a vacuum leak on the engine or a fuel problem or even a faulty spark plug.
