Cadillac Repair: 96 Cadi DeVille, drain tube, leak detector

Question
AC problem.  AC looses freon.  Have put dye in and can't find it.  Have used leak detector, nothing.  Can't get to coil.  Add can of freon, gone next day.  Also small oil leak.  Not enough to leave spot on carport.  How to repair both.

Answer
As to the freon leak locate the water drain tube coming out of the firewall towards the engine from the evaporator and put the leak detector near this drain hose and this is where you will most likely find your freon leak due to a leak in the evaporator..

As to the oil leak it could be any number of things. Have a facility locate it for you.
