Cadillac Repair: Tail lights, cadillac sts, light assemblies

Question
1997 cadillac sts
Moisture forms on the inside of my tail lights lenses during damp and rainy weather. Is there any way to prevent this? There are no cracks in the lenses.

Answer
You can try removing the entire tail light assemblies and spraying all along the edges of where the 2 halves of the assembly are put together as there is most likely a flaw in the gasket and spray seal the gasket to keep out the moisture. Also spray around the gaskets of where the bulb sockets insert into the back of the tail light assembly.

Another trick is to drill a small hole at the very bottom of the tail light assemblies to allow air to get in and dry the moisture out.
